Well, hello. Today, we read the news that Steve Earle and his wife, Allison Moorer, are getting divorced.. I think it will be Steve's 8th divorce and 7th wife (marrying on of them twice, something I never understand.)
As a rabid fan of Steve's, I find this all very sad. Steve and Allison have a beautiful little boy, John Henry, 4 (if I am calculating correctly) who was diagnosed with autism when he was two.
I've seen two news articles online where Steve says they are parting ways.
It makes one very sad (not to repeat) and wonder why some folks have such a hard time staying married.
I myself was married once before, a long time ago, and divorced him due to repeated adultery, which I think annuls a marriage anyway. And, the adultery was entirely on his part, as four or five women could probably contest.
I think it's important not to blame either side in any divorce, except my divorce. Of course, I was perfect and he was not.
Many can contest this fact.
So, I am trying to blog again, thanks to my little friend, Ivy, who is newly married, more of less, and very young.
